The Pamplemousses
Garden
The 60-acre botanical garden, established in 1735, is probably the most
visited attraction on the island. This treasure of exotic plants and
trees include giant Victorial Regia water lilies, talipot palms, said to
flower once every sixty years, royal palms with its long aerial stems,
raphia palms, bottle palms, white palms.

Black River Gorges
Black River Gorges national park is another popular spot among tourists
and nature lovers. This park, created in 1994 to protect the remaining
sub-tropical forests of Mauritius, offers magnificent landscapes, rare
bird species and endemic flora.

Domaine Du Chasseur
Situated in the south-east of Mauritius, Domaine Du Chasseur covers 1950
acres of abundant greenery. It offers an opportunity to spot stags,
monkeys, boars and rare birds. Nature lovers can enjoy a long walk among
ebony, eucalyptus, revenala and palm trees.

Domaine Les Pailles
Situated near Port-Louis, Domaine Les Pailles stretches over 3000 acres
at the bottom of Moka mountain range. Enjoy the park in 4x4, horse-drawn
carriage or in a train. The garden is also home to a replica of an
ancient sugar mill, a mechanism formerly used in distilling rum called
‘alembic’ and a natural spring.

Situated in the south-east of Mauritius in Cluny, Le Val features

Ile Aux Aigrettes
This island is situated about 800 meters off the south-east coast of
Mauritius. The tiny long lost paradise features some rare endemic
species of Mauritian flora and fauna like the Ebony forest, the Kestrel,
Pink Pigeon, the Green Gecko, Aldabra Giant Tortoise, the Telfair skink
and many more.
