LE MORNE

Towards the south-western part of Mauritius stands the isolated rocky mountain of Le Morne Brabant. This mountain is stunning and impressive contrast to land and sea. The land around the highest peak ‘Piton De La Riviere Noire’ is like paradise and the lagoon lying at its foot is magically crystal clear.

Le Morne mountain is said to be the place where the runaway slaves went to hide owing to the fears of found and captured again.
